Happiness can certainly be a subjective experience, and it is possible that for some individuals, giving their possessions a makeover could bring them joy and satisfaction. Engaging in a creative activity such as repainting a room, upcycling furniture, or redecorating a space can be a fulfilling and rewarding experience, especially if the outcome meets or exceeds their expectations.

I had a few numbers of old purse and clutches that I was using from 7 to 8 years. All that clutches and purse was very close to my heart. Some of them were purchased by me and few of them were gifted by my loved once. So the reason was I did not want to throw them at all. So I decided to give them a new look and reuse them again.

Transforming an old purse into a new, stylish accessory is a fun and creative way to breathe new life into your wardrobe without spending a lot of money. Here are some ideas to help you get started:

1. Add a pop of color: Use fabric paint or markers to create a fun and colorful design on your purse. You can also sew on patches or appliqués in bright colors or patterns.
2. Replace the straps: If the straps on your purse are worn or outdated, consider replacing them with a new set of leather or fabric straps in a complementary color.
3. Embellish with beads or sequins: Adding beads or sequins can instantly give your purse a glamorous, new look. You can sew on beads or sequins in a pattern, or use a glue gun to attach them randomly.

This leather clutch I purchased almost 8 years back. This clutch is my favorite. It was in very good condition on the color got fade and the shine was gone. So I decided to give it a new brand look. I started with painting the clutch with golden color. The reason behind I chose the golden color is I had golden lace. And of course golden color clutch suits on every attire and look also gorgeous. So I finished up coloring the clutch with golden color and stared sticking the golden lace using fabric glue. Few things you need to be careful while painting the purse that the purse zip should not get covered with color otherwise zip will gel damaged. So be careful while coloring the purse. To add more beauty to the clutch I just attached a stone and pearls pendent to the clutch. It’s completely new look I have give to my old clutch and I absolutely loved it.

If you have old clutch, think before you discard it. You can use any acrylic color to paint the purse or clutch. Let the clutch dry completely after finishing the coloring. Once it is dry completely, you can make any design with contrast color. Don’t forget to apply varnish or mixture of glue and water. Varnish or applying mixture of glue and water will make your purse or clutch water resistant.

This was big clutch in purple color. I renovated it because some part of the clutch got damaged. I did not wanted to discard it because it was a big clutch, in which you can keep your every important stuff like mobile, comb, lipstick and a small mirror too. I know every girl wanted this type of clutch when she can keep her favorite stuff without compromising.

I have used a cloth to cover this big clutch. You can use dupatta or any old dress cloth. I started with cutting the cloth in clutch size and used fabric glue for sticking it. Of course keeping it simple won’t look beautiful. So I decided to make the borders of the clutch attractive by decorating it with same color lace. And attach golden color saree pin in the centre of the clutch. I knew that I will use this clutch with my traditional look in some function. In my friends marriage I carried this beautiful clutch and everyone was amazed and asked me where did I purchased it from. The happiness was on cloud 9 because it was really looking amazing and I did not discard my favorite old clutch.

This purse color got faded so I decided to give a new and funky look to the purse so that I can carry this purse on any attire like kurta, jeans. I tough to buy some fabric flowers patches or kundan to decorate this purse but then I remember that I have one pink Dupatta which I am not using any more because it got burn somewhere. So I decided to use it to renovate the purse. I removed flower work and lace from that Dupatta and started decorating on purse. Always use fabric glue to stick any fabric material. So I have given new and beautiful look with pink color lace and flowers to that old purse.

This small cute clutch is my most favorite clutch. This is a mini clutch where only mobile and cards can be fitted. It is small handy and easy to carry clutch. White color and cute print was the main reason I loved this clutch. The quality of the clutch is very good. But the only reason I renovated it was the scratches on the clutch.

We girls always love variations and like to carry new stuff. We keep all those old stuff with us even if they are no longer use because that stuffs are very close to our heart. We always prefer to buy new things from market and make a huge collection of new and old stuff. And then because of lack of storage we discard old stuff. It feels really bad. So I always prefer to give old stuff to new look.

This was my favorite clutch and I wanted to keep it with me always. So I decided to give it same look but make it new. I thought to paint it first but then I got idea that I can do decoupage on it. I orders one with white printed decoupage paper.

Decoupage is very simple process, you just need decoupage paper and decoupage glue. Before you decoupage anything, you need to clean that thing first.  I have cleaned the clutch with tissue paper and wiped out all the dust. Then I simple applied decoupage glue on the clutch and pasted decoupage paper on it. Before I pasted decoupage paper I have removed the top layer of paper and pasted that one and removed the extra paper. Be careful while pasting it on any surface avoid air bubble and wrinkle if any. Once it is dried again apply 2 to 3 layers of decoupage glue. So I have given very fresh look to this cute clutch. I was very happy I can use this new clutch again.

This was new small pink purse. I thought just adding a small change will make it more beautiful. So I decorated it with simple pink flower. My daughter likes this purse very much and she took it happily.
