Best craft to be made in the season of festival is the Shubha Labha wall sticker. I made a very ethnic and attractive Shubha Labha door hanging to add ethnic flavor to my sweet home. The auspicious words Shubha Labha is a traditional sign that stands for a warm welcome which gives charm to your guests when you place it at the entrance of your sweet home. This would be the great idea of gifting on house warming.

“Main door of the house should be decorated in such a way that it ushers in positive energy.”

Everything of your home is connected to main door because it is the place through all the good energy enters your home. The availability of ample air, plentiful light, and most importantly, hygienic environment is essential. But why should you decorate the front door? It’s important because the decoration of your door may affect your health, happiness, wealth, energy, and prosperity.

I have gifted this Shubha Labha door hanging to my friend on the occasion of her house warming ceremony. And the reason of her happiness was not only what I gifted her but was it was made by me. You can buy such things online and find many designs and variety also. But it could also happen you might see the same design to your next door or at neighbor’s door. So the point is when you make it, it will be unique and the happiness after making it will be satisfying you.

Shubha Labha wall sticker / शुभ लाभ door hanging कैसे बनाएं.

In this tutorial I have shown how you can make Shubha Labha door hanging at home. You can try same design or you can show your own creativity to make it more beautiful. To make Shubha labha words I have used ceramic powder clay. I already had ceramic powder clay stored from my last project, so I used it to make Shubha labha words. Now using ceramic powder clay is completely optional. There are alternatives for ceramic clay- Fevicryl mouldit clay, readymade Shubha Labha stickers or you can write it with pen and later paint with brush. For decoration I have used pompoms, you can use mirrors, beads, pearls or any other decorative material you have.

Let’s take a look what material I have used.

 – Cardboard cutouts

– Golden paper

– Glue

– Pompom

– Ceramic powder (instead of ceramic powder you can use fevicryl mouldit clay.)

Step 1:

Make 2 circle shaped cutouts and stick golden paper on it. You can stick any other color paper as per your choice or can just paint the cardboard cutouts with acrylic color.

Step 2:

To make “शुभ लाभ”, I have used ceramic powder. Instead of using ceramic powder fevicryl mouldit clay or air dry modeling clay can be used. You can prepare ceramic clay dough and store it in airtight container for 15 to 20 days.

Step3:

How to prepare ceramic powder clay:- 

 Empty the pack of ceramic powder in a bowl and add 1/3 portion of fevicol in it. Mix both ingredients properly. If you feel the mixer is very loose, you can add little ceramic power or all purpose flour in it. Or if you feel the mixer is very dry, you can add little glue in it. But remember do not add water in the mixer. Apply oil on your hands and on the floor. Knead the dough for 5 to 10 minutes until it gets soft. Pack the dough in airtight container. You can store this clay dough for 15 to 20 days.

I already had ceramic powder that I had used in my previous project. I will suggest you to not go for ceramic clay powder if your project is small. The best option is Fevicryl mouldit clay.

Why Fevicryl Mouldit clay?

Here are some advantages of Fevicryl mouldit clay.

· There are many things that can be made from air dry clay. Fevicryl Mouldit is the best option for beginners who wants to make decorative items using air dry clay. Fevicryl Mouldit clay is used to mould and create shapes and 3D works of all types of art work such as wall hangings, jewelry, statues, and decorative things and highly use in DIY craft projects etc.

·   The most important benefit is Fevicryl mould come with Strong Resin Base – Fevicryl Mouldit comes with a strong art resin epoxy mould base & hardener,  both the ingredients need to be mixed together to get a solid solution. By mixing them nicely, you can make anything you want.

·  You can Make any craft – The fevicryl mouldit craft is very versatile DIY craft material. This mouldit clay is ideal for doing verity of projects that range from tiny jewelry to large decors.

·  The best part is it is Non-sticky nature – You can make anything from this clay very easily, as this product is not sticky in nature. It is also soft and bendable, so it becomes easier to mould as per your preference and liking.

Step 4:

Write “शुभ लाभ” using pencil and paste clay on it.  You can stick readymade stickers also available in different colors.

Step 5:

Once it dries, apply red color on it. You can choose colors as per your choice. According to the color of background paper or cardboard color you can choose colors to paint shubha labha words.

Step 6:

I have stick Pompoms. You can decorate it as per your choice. We have many things around us that we never notice such as- beads or pearls from old necklace, mirrors or lace etc. You can decorate it as per your choice or just keep it simple. Use double sided tape for sticking.
